The Faculty of Medicine operates two state-of-the-art simulation centers where students can acquire essential practical skills for their future medical careers. Training takes place both in small seminar groups under the supervision of experienced tutors and through independent self-directed practice.
Funding Opportunities
Students at LMU’s Faculty of Medicine have access to a wide range of scholarships and financial support. In addition to Bafög, opportunities include the Deutschlandstipendium as well as scholarships offered by the Dr. Hildegard and Heinrich Fuchs Foundation.
The LMU Career Service provides support for all career-related issues.
Mentoring Program
The mentoring program was developed in response to students’ desire for more personalized support during their studies. Its goal is to ensure that every student in the Faculty of Medicine becomes part of a structured support network and has access to a qualified mentor for individual guidance and concerns.
Studying with a Child
Information for Expectant and Nursing Mothers
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform the Office for Study Affairs as early as possible so that we can arrange an initial consultation.
In accordance with the Maternity Protection Act, expectant and nursing mothers are not permitted to take part in activities that may pose a risk to them or their child. For individual advice on which courses you may attend during this time, please contact us as early as possible and provide confirmation of your due date.
Emergency Childcare - funded by study grants
Students of human medicine and dentistry at LMU may use free emergency childcare in urgent situations, such as on examination days. This service is offered through the Münchner Kindl daycare center and the City-Krippe. For further details, please refer to the German version of this page.
